Unlike traditional pastries made with the spun sugar technique, which requires the introduction of heat for the optimal experience, the HKMX team has created a unique product that can be stored at room temperature while preserving the delicate filling in textured strands. The concoction uses only top tier ingredients, including Xianglian lotus seed paste and high quality salted egg yolks.

To encourage people to explore the innovative nature of this product compared to classic varieties, the new packaging introduces a bold and youthful design grounded in minimalism and refinement. To complete the experience and encourage people to share this treat without a knife, we introduced a bespoke tool (refer to next slide for more details) that can split the mooncake easily and neatly to enjoy the optimal "lace" effect of the filling with a simple pull motion.
